MDCM

My experience in research as well as my clinical experience in mental health has shown me the value of different professionals working in synergy. Indeed, its emphasis on interprofessional collaboration is one of the many things that draws me to psychiatry.

To me, collaborative mental health care means using everyone’s unique knowledge and experience to provide the best possible patient-care. In addition, it means valuing each other’s roles and learning from each other everyday. For this reason, I aspire to become a psychiatrist who works closely with other professionals in mental health, with the aim to help patients achieve recovery.
