Cognitive Science

As a Cognitive Science and Neuroscience student I have always taken an interest in mental health. To me, collaborative mental healthcare means creating initiatives that improve people's mental health in all aspects of their lives including both primary health care and mental health settings as well as in people's daily lives. This requires a combination of research, funding, policy, and community to achieve increased access to help and optimized care. I'm hoping to become an occupational therapist which is a profession in which I could help people in all aspects of their lives. Allowing people greater independence and control over their lives, which often increases people's mental health.
