Oncology

My background in mental healthcare is very limited, however, I feel incredibly passionate about advocating for those that don’t have the means to advocate for themselves. I feel overjoyed that I had the ability to join this committee so that I may be able to advocate for people living with mental health disparities and create a comfortable environment for them to flourish in.  Collaborative mental healthcare at McGill University shows me that students at McGill have the forthcoming to understand that mental health is vitally important to the well-being of everyone; as well, it also shows me that to make individuals more comfortable, we need to take action in the healthcare environment to make meaningful impacts.  Psychosocial oncology has been an upcoming field lately as post-traumatic stress disorder has recently come into focus after people living with cancer undergo chemoradiation. I want to be able to tackle this field as a researcher and a physician to ensure people are at their most comfortable at every step of their treatment and recovery.
