Hi there! I’m Kirsten Neprily and I am currently finishing up my undergrad in Psychology, Behavioural Neuroscience and Linguistics here at McGill. I hope to pursue a Masters/PhD in Counselling Psychology focusing on adolescent mental health. Before volunteering at a mental health hospital, I always thought psychiatrists worked independently to improve the conditions of mental health clients, however this wasn’t the case at all. It truly is a collaborative effort, between doctors, nurses, psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers and many more departments to improve the living conditions of people suffering from mental health. I feel so passionate about collaborative mental health because strength is in numbers. If we want to make a difference in the lives of those with mental health, we need the knowledge and power from all these departments collaborating on a common goa
