Jackie Brown
BA&Sc Cognitive Science
I am currently in the last year of my undergraduate degree at McGill studying Cognitive Science & Psychology. I am currently working on a research project in the Attention & Social Cognition lab investigating reflexive, preferentially attention to social stimuli using eye-tracking techniques. This past summer, I worked as a research assistant at The Hospital for Sick Children investigating quality of life in pediatric transplant patients. I also work as a mental health Peer Health Educator with Healthy McGill. Collaborative mental health care is extremely important to me because mental health is ubiquitous, complex and it affects everyone, so collaboration and multiple options are necessary for providing adequate care to those in need. In the future I plan on attaining a Master’s of Public Health with the goal of creating effective, collaborative health policy.
