PG Psychiatry Residency

Exec Position: VP Administration

Collaboration is vital to providing the best mental healthcare, for the simple reason that people are complex, have needs and aspirations in many different domains, and can never be truly helped by just one approach. I'm currently in my first year of Psychiatry residency, where I learn an integrative approach that combines assessment and diagnosis, basic and clinical research, advocacy, and multiple treatment modalities (psychotherapy, ECT, TMS, medication, environmental adaptation). I'm also engaged in graduate research looking at brain imaging and  neural networks underlying psychosis in patients with epilepsy. I am actively engaged in advocacy work at the health systems level through the Quebec Health Professional Students' Roundtable (FRESQue), which I co-founded. I have three main aspirations: to complete my residency and a fellowship in neuropsychiatry; to become a neural networks researcher; and to keep advocating for a more just, effective, and accessible healthcare system, which may take a route through politics or policy work.
