Sarah Williams
MSc Public Health
I am a second-year student in the Master of Science in Public Health (MScPH) program at McGill. Originally from St. John’s, NL, I graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Biology from Memorial University of Newfoundland. I also completed my honours thesis in developmental psychology. Some of my interests include child health and development, chronic disease, social determinants of health, and health services research. This past summer, I completed a 16-week practicum placement at the Janeway Pediatric Research Unit where I researched ways to improve the transition from pediatric to adult care for young adults with type 1 diabetes. I am excited to be a part of the CMH core group this year to learn more about mental health from students in other disciplines as well as to better my understanding of the mental healthcare system in Canada.
