Sabrina Shajeen Alam
PhD Learning Sciences
I am a PhD candidate in the Learning Sciences Program (Department of Educational & Counselling Psychology) at McGill University since September 2016. While doing my M.S. (University of Chittagong, Bangladesh), I became interested in studying human cognition and learning process. My research interest is to find out the impact of educational technology on numerical understanding. Currently, I am investigating how digital home numeracy practices (e.g., math applications) serve as intervention tool for children with mathematical learning disabilities.
I joined CMH as I believe this is a good platform where people from multi-disciplines work together to serve the community mental health issues. In future, I hope the experience of being involved in this association will help me to enhance my capacities as an individual and also as a researcher to work with people who need special care!
