Amanda Tremblay
BScN Nursing
My name is Amanda Tremblay and I am proud to say that I am a Nurse.

I have had the opportunity to work on a psychiatric unit as well as in the Emergency Department where I cared for a variety of individuals who were struggling with different aspects of their mental health. Working in these areas opened my eyes to the urgency of these types of illnesses, and their need to be addressed. This is what led me to CMH. CMH is a group where I get the opportunity to gain knowledge as well to develop a better understanding of the different resources for my patients whom suffer with mental health issues. It is a safe place where opinions, ideas, and strategies can be shared without judgement and at the same time allowing me to gain the perspective of other professions.

In the future, I would like to resume my work in the Emergency department and ultimately end up in community nursing. No matter where I go in the future, the knowledge and perspectives I gain with CMH will be carried with me to help me become the best nurse I can possibly be.
